چکیده

The identification of an unknown gaseous species or the composition a mixture can be performed using various experimental techniques such as: mass spectrometry, chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), infrared (IR), X-Rays, by combining these analytical (in automated analyzers). Unfortunately, use highly expensive equipment and require qualified personnel. Using gas sensors is viable inexpensive alternative. most commonly used in field are resistive type chemosensors (chemiresistors), due to their simple detection mechanism low manufacturing costs. principle based on catalytic reaction between sensitive material sensor target gas. This occurs with release consumption electrons, influencing overall electrical resistance sensor. review describes MOX-based chemiresistors, which contain different types substrates, as powders, pellets films, well clear tendency towards miniaturization constant improvement fabrication greener more cost-effective synthesis routes over time. goal this research was obtain high 3S parameters (sensitivity, selectivity, stability), that mass-produced implemented wide scale.

Effectiveness of different types of learning materials used by students in courses of basic medical sciences

Introduction. Learning materials (LMs), are submitted to students in different types, from class notes to referring students to different references, which can have different effectiveness. Therefore, evaluation of effectiveness of commonly used types can help the university faculties in selection of more appropriate LMs for students. Methods. 1. The data regarding the types of LMs used in di...

Chemical Discrimination in Turbulent Gas Mixtures with MOX Sensors Validated by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Chemical detection systems based on chemo-resistive sensors usually include a gas chamber to control the sample air flow and to minimize turbulence. However, such a kind of experimental setup does not reproduce the gas concentration fluctuations observed in natural environments and destroys the spatio-temporal information contained in gas plumes. Aiming at reproducing more realistic environment...

Gas sensors based on nanostructured materials.

Gas detection is important for controlling industrial and vehicle emissions, household security and environmental monitoring. In recent decades many devices have been developed for detecting CO(2), CO, SO(2), O(2), O(3), H(2), Ar, N(2), NH(3), H(2)O and several organic vapours. However, the low selectivity or the high operation temperatures required when most gas sensors are used have prompted ...

Detecting Changes of a Distant Gas Source with an Array of MOX Gas Sensors

We address the problem of detecting changes in the activity of a distant gas source from the response of an array of metal oxide (MOX) gas sensors deployed in an open sampling system. The main challenge is the turbulent nature of gas dispersion and the response dynamics of the sensors. We propose a change point detection approach and evaluate it on individual gas sensors in an experimental setu...
